John Weir, 'Weir's Studio', 351 Byres Rd., 1901 - 1914+








The form of textured cabinet card above with the logo at the bottom left is common in the early Edwardian period.

A date of 1879 is written on the front of the first card below, but it looks as if a ball point implement has been used, and there is no record of a Weir at this address prior to 1901. The older lady is dressed very conservatively for the period, the girls are more in tune with prevailing fashion. This type of card is known from around 1907.
